Principal and Instructor: Jake Czechowicz Prior to founding Jake Czechowicz Associates, Ltd., Jake Czechowicz was the founder and for fifteen years the President of Financial Directions Inc. He developed this New York based company into a recognized international leader in providing training to many of the largest financial institutions around the world. As President, he was in charge of developing, organizing and delivering training and consulting in various state-of-the art areas of finance to many of the leading financial institutions in the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia and South America. He has trained thousands of bankers and financial executives. Mr. Czechowicz has also served as a financial consultant for global financial institutions and corporations in various areas of financial management. Mr. Czechowicz has an M.B.A. from the Stern School of Business at New York University and a B.A. and M.A. from Fordham University. Publications Mr. Czechowicz has written over a thousand pages of tailored training materials, exercises, tests and cases on key areas in capital markets, derivatives, private banking and financial management. In addition his published works include; Managing Costs and Risks Through Financial Innovation, International Risk Management, New Directions in Managing Currency Risk, Export Financing, Assessing Foreign Subsidiary Performance, and Cutting Costs Through International Cash Management. He has also contributed numerous articles to the Business International Money Report and the American Banker.
Nicholas Warren (Consultant) Nick Warren specializes in teaching and educational consulting relating to issuer, investor and trading floor analytics and applications of financial instruments, as well as more general quantitative skills at a variety of levels. Clients include major global investment banks, commercial banks, and accounting firms. Nick has worked in a variety of line and education capacities for Chemical Bank, Chase Manhattan Bank and JP .Morgan. Line experience includes Corporate Finance, Credit Policy, Treasury Asset and Liability Management, and Derivatives Structuring/Marketing (Financial Engineering). In addition to teaching, Nick also has extensive experience in the global curriculum design and management of training programs, both at the entry level and for experienced professionals. Nick has managed the training groups for markets, investment banking, equities and credit at both Chase and JP Morgan. At Chase, he designed and had responsibility for, the entry level, global trading floor program, where there had previously been no program. At JP Morgan he did the same for an Equities program (cash and derivatives/structured products) that all experienced Investment Bankers worldwide attended. Nick has a B.A. and M.A. from Cambridge University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and an Adjunct Professor. He has also appeared as an "Expert Witness" on Capital Markets in a U.S. Federal Court, is Chairperson for the Investment Committee of an Endowment Fund, and has been the Treasurer and President of a Real Estate Co-op Board.
